albendazole-------------------100mg

 

Description

This product is broad-spectrum de-worming medicine, except for the treatment of hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, pinworm, and other nematode Trichinella spiralis can be used for the treatment of cysticercosis and echinococcosis.It is indicated for gastro-intestinal parasitic infections from roundworms, hookworm, pinworms, whipworm, threadworms and tapeworms.

 

 

Indication

For treatment and prevention of infestations with helminthes susceptible to albendazole in sheep, goats and cattle.

It is effective against different worm infections in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, and camels. It is also effective against larvae and adult of liver flukes

 

Dosage and  Administration

1) For treatment gastro intestinal worms, lung worms, tape worms

    Sheep and goat: 1.5ml each 30kg body weight

    Cattle: 7.5ml each 100kg body weight

2) For treatment liver flukes

    Sheep and goat: 2ml each 30kg body weight

    Cattle: 15ml each 100kg body weight

 

Withdrawal time

Meat: 15 days before slaughter

Milk: 5 days before consumption

cattle 14 days, sheep and goats 4 days, 60 hours after weaning

 

Precaution:

Long-term continuous use can cause drug resistance and crossed drug resistance.

Do not use during pregnancy. Especially for the first 45 days of pregnancy.

 

Side Effects

Albendazole is a very safe drug in ruminants. No side effects are likely to be expected after oral administration of recommended doses
